Promotion abuse (promo abuse for short) is a type of online fraud that involves customers taking advantage of a businesss offers. Whilst a few customers getting better discounts than they should doesnt sound too bad, the long-term effects can leave businesses with eye-watering hidden costs.

Glitches quickly became the new term for coupon fraud. Any other use constitutes fraud. Using a coupon for a large-sized product on a smaller size is fraud. Using a coupon for a product other than the item that the coupon is for, even if it scans without beeping at the register, still is fraud.
People with the fear of self-promotion tend to self-select into low-level jobs that reward conformity and discourage ambition, even if they find the work boring or unfulfilling. Fear of self-promotion can also wreak havoc on your personal life.
Theres actually nothing wrong with self-promoting. Its selfish people who are out to get something from others that give it a bad name. As long as youre also benefitting the other side of the equation – whoever youre selling yourself to – its all good.
