What does an RV power plug look like?
Everyone knows what a 15-amp RV plug looks like. Its exactly the same as the 3-prong style you use to plug just about any type of electric appliance into a standard outlet in your house. It has two thin, vertical prongs (one is “hot” and the other “neutral”), and a third, round one, that connects to the ground wire.
What kind of outlet does an RV plug into?
The plug on your RV is a large three-prong, heavy duty 30 Amp, 120-volt plug. Most campgrounds you go to will provide you with a 30 Amp outlet that your RV power cord will plug directly into.
